Advertising
The fact that they're so many fallacious ads means that some people most believe them and by the product. Companies would not keep putting out ads if they did not make more money in exchange. Many ads try and tell people that their product will make you pretty or handsome. This means that some people must believe these ads. There wouldn't be so many ads about this if they didn't work. Some of the ads intended audience is people with low self-esteem. They know these people are more likely to buy a product that is supposed to make them pretty.

I agree with this post because ads do try to make you "believe" in them. Ads also try and make it seem if though you do not buy there ad, then you will not be pretty, quick, healthy, comfortable and pleasing. Believing what they say is a great way for them to manipulate you.
