Abstract or Pop?

If I had to choosed between abstract expressionism and pop art, I think that I would have to say that I am closer to abstract expressionism. I find it difficult at times to express myself with conventional words (or images in this case) and the option of expressing my deepest psyche with colors and seemingly unplanned splatters is very attractive to me. I truly enjoy the pieces by Jackson Pollock and how much effort he put into each creation. I like the fact that it is easy to connect with because it doesn't have one concrete meaning. I am excited for the field trip to the art museum!

I really like the way that you look at abstract expressionism. I lean more towards a pop artist, but the way you stated why you are closer to an abstract expressionist makes me think about my view on the topic. I like what you said about not being able to define yourself with conventional words.I completely agree with that.
